Music has been the biggest part of Skip's life since 1969. Skip has been very fortunate to have been able to use his talents to play with many different artist.
In 1970 Skip toured with the band Those Muvin Brothers with Linda Gail, who opened for Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, Jack Greene, Jerry Lee Lewis and Anne Murray and other various Country Artist. Played the Ralph Emory Show, Ernest Tubb Show and The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville
In the early 1970's Skip joined a band named Hough which featured Greg Hough from the Christian Rock Band PETRA. They opened for Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Pat Boone, SRC and Atlantis.
During the mid 80's Skip met Singer/Songwriter, Carol Connors. She wrote the theme song for TV show "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous " as well as co writing the Theme Song from the Movie "Rocky" and scores of other movies. She invited Skip to help her on a music video project titled "Magic" for the Ian S. Brown Foundation for Congenital Defects.
In 1987 Skip won V-32 Hottest Guitar Player in Florida Contest.
In the early 1990's Skip played with the Jazz Band Free Time. They toured and backed up Jazz Artist and Jazz Hall of Fame Cornet player, Nat Adderley.
Wrote Theme Song for "The Secret Hiding Place" a Christian puppet show based on the muppets shown in all of South America.
In the mid 1990's Skip formed a four-piece Christian Rock Band named Jabbok with Brant Menswar (from "Big Kettle Drum").
Skip played and toured with Gospel Blues Artist, Larry Howard and the Southern Rock of Ages Band. Larry is an original member of the former band, Grinderswitch. Skip is playing on Larry's new album with Chuck Leavell (Allman Bros., Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones), Bonnie Bramlett ( Eric Clapton, Tina Turner), Charlie Hayward ( Dr. John, Charlie Daniels) Paul Hornsby (Hour Glass, Gregg Allman, Elvin Bishop, Dru Lumbar ( Grinderswitch, Bonnie Bramlet )
Skip was honored to play for the Premier of the movie " Crazy" the story of legendary guitarist Hank Garland.
Skip was inducted into the Heritage Blues Hall of Fame September 14th 2012.
